FAQ
-
How do I book an appointment?
I ask all new clients to submit an inquiry form in order to request an appointment. After you submit your inquiry I will review it and reach out to you within 24 hours.
-
Do you accept walk-ins, or is it by appointment only?
I do not accept walk ins or same day appointments. My books are open but I generally am booking 10 weeks out for customs and can sometimes accommodate sooner for flash designs.
-
How much does a tattoo cost, and how is pricing determined?
I do not charge for a consultation, but I do require a drawing fee in order to book a custom design. This fee changes based on the complexity of your design but starts at $100. We will discuss this fee during your consultation. My appointment rates have three options : $150 for less than an hour of tattoo time, Half day - $600 for up to four hours of tattoo time, or Full day - $950 for up to seven hours of tattoo time. I will give you an estimate of cost and timing during your consultation and I will always do my best to honor that estimate.
-
Do I need to make a deposit, and is it refundable?
If booking flash design: I require 50% down in order to book a flash design. If you cancel your appointment with more then 24 hours notice I will refund your deposit. If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice and do not reschedule you will forfeit your deposit.
If booking a custom design: I do not charge for a consultation, but I do require a drawing fee in order to book a custom design. This fee changes based on the complexity of your design but starts at $100. We will discuss this fee during your consultation. I begin drawing custom designs about two weeks prior to your appointment. If you cancel your appointment within two weeks of the appointment and do not reschedule you will forfeit your drawing fee.

How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?
You will be required to fill out and sign an intake form upon arrival. Please remember to bring your ID.
Please let us know in advance if you have ANY medical conditions or allergies so that we can plan appropriately.
Prepare your body-
We cannot work on skin that is damaged, broken, or sunburned.
We cannot work on you if you have had a recent joint replacement, or if you are taking antibiotics within 2 weeks BEFORE OR AFTER your procedure.
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! The more hydrated you are (and your skin is) the less discomfort and irritation you will experience. I recommend drinking at least 32oz of water the day before your tattoo and another 32oz the morning of your appointment. Avoid things that dehydrate you in the 24 hours before your appointment, this includes caffeine and alcohol.
Dress comfortably and bring with you anything that comforts you (pillow, blanket, headphones, gum, snacks, fidget toys, etc) we have snacks, candy and water available for our clients but if there is anything else that you find comforting please feel free to bring it along.
If you are confident shaving the area please feel free to do so, if you would prefer we remove your hair for you we are happy to do that. We can not work on an area that has razor burn.
Show up sober, healthy, showered, hydrated, and fed.
-
Can you tattoo over scars or existing tattoos?
I am always honored to help people move through important body modifications like tattoo cover ups or scar covers. Having said that, these procedures take special care and have their limitations, so an in person consultation is required in order for me to give you the best answers for your specific needs.
-
What should I expect during the healing process, and how do I care for my tattoo?
Aftercare looks different for each person and each tattoo, so I will go over my recommendations with each client during their procedure, but there are a few things that always remain true: your new tattoo will need 72 hours of very special care and will take approximately 2-3 weeks to heal completely. Failure to properly care for your tattoo may result in damage to your skin and/or your new tattoo. Never subject a healing tattoo to chemicals, fragrances, or sun, and never submerge a healing tattoo in water (swimming, bathing, hot tubbing).
-
Do you offer touch-ups, and are they included in the price?
I offer touch up sessions for $50 (to cover the price of materials). Touch up sessions must be scheduled within 6 months of the original appointment. After 6 months, or if the touch up requires more than 30 minutes of tattoo time, I require my normal rates.
-
Do you tattoo minors with parental consent?
I no longer tattoo minors. You must be over 18 and have a valid ID.
-
Can I see the design before my appointment?
I believe in collaboration, so I ensure that you will see your design drawing prior to your appointment with plenty of time to give feedback and make edits if you have any. I do not draw designs for clients without an appointment scheduled. For example: I will not draw a design for you to get tattooed by another artist.
-
What if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Life happens, but communication is important to me. I will never no call- no show on a client and I expect the same in return. Generally my rule is: If you reschedule more than twice, I cannot guarantee a 3rd reschedule. If you no-call no-show, I will not reschedule with you and any deposit will be forfeit.
-
Can I bring a friend or family member to my appointment?
Our studio space is limited and we ask that you limit companions to no more than one additional person during your procedure. Unfortunately this does not extend to non human friends, other then service animals. If you need to bring a service animal with you we must be notified prior upon booking.
-
Do you sell aftercare products or recommend specific brands?
I do not sell aftercare products at this time, but I can offer you recommendations based on your skin type and tattoo.
